Our team travelled to Ibiza to deliver a live stream into iPlayer in the UK for BBC Radio 1 in Ibiza. The team took all the hardware to the white isle to deliver the 5 hour live music show. As well as kit we provided technical crew to help install, manage and operate the camera and stream technology. Using a satellite truck as our primary return and SRT as our secondary feed.
This was partially a test for future live streams from outside of the UK, showing the resilience of IP delivery vs that of the traditional Sat Truck streams, which makes this new delivery more viable for future broadcasts.
We used a mixture of Panasonics PTZs, Blackmagic G2 and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras. Vision mix was via a ISO8.
